Clearinghouse compatibility
While MedUnite is the preferred
and recommended choice for Medisoft and Lytec users, both are compatible with
a multitude of clearinghouses. The software generates a file called HCFA11
which conforms to HCFA standards. This file is then received by the corresponding
clearinghouse software for transmittal.
The advantage of MedUnite is
the complete integration through Medisoft and Lytec. All data transfers
happen directly from within the program eliminating any possibility for conflict
with other software and therefore is recommended over other clearinghouses.
Due to the nature of this arrangement,
Microwize and Medisoft do not offer any support for other clearinghouse operations.
