Medisoft Minimum Requirements
Workstations: Pentium 4 - 2.8+ GHz processor (Intel Celeron processors are not supported), 1GB available hard disk space, 1 GB RAM, 16+ bit color display, Windows 2000 or XP Professional. See Vista information below.
Windows Vista: Medisoft 12 SP2 or higher now supports Windows Vista Business Edition Only. This means that Vista Home, Home Premium & Ultimate are not supported by any Medisoft version at this time.
If you have Vista Home or Home Premium, consider using the 'Windows Anytime Upgrade' service which allows you to upgrade your version of Vista by downloading a file. Click here for more details.
Server System: Pentium 4 - 2.6+ GHz, 2GB available hard disk space, 1GB RAM, 16+ bit color display, Windows XP Pro, 2000 Server or 2003 Server. Windows Vista is not supported on a server system.
Internet Explorer: Medisoft is not currently compatible with Internet Explorer 8. If you are using Medisoft, or are interested in Medisoft, please do not upgrade your broswer to IE8.
Networking Requirements
Ethernet 100/1000 Mbit with category 5e or higher cabling.
Wireless networks are NOT recommended or supported. Medisoft users running on a wireless network may experience data corruption or loss.
VPN networks are only recommended in conjunction with Citrix, or Microsoft Terminal Server. Other remote access solution are MediNotes Remote, LogMeIn, GoToMyPC and other similar solutions.
Printer Requirements
LaserJet printers work best with Medisoft. Microwize recommends HP LaserJet printers.
Microwize does not recommend or support DeskJet, Inkjet or Dot Matrix printers.
